Welcome to the Wiki Site for the Christian Academy in Japan
I'm glad you found your way here!
Look over to the right side near the top. You will need to create and account and log in to gain full access to the wiki. If you've done that you'll be able to Post, edit and create pages. So give it a try!
If you've logged in, try making a page! Find "Create a page" in the upper right hand side of the screen. Click on that and create a page. Name it after yourself. The page will open in the edit mode. It works almost like a word processor with choices for font, size, and color. Go ahead and share a bit about yourself! See if you can figure out how to upload and add a picture of yourself or some other picture to your page. Be sure to hit "Save" down at the lower left of the screen! In the spirit of good modeling, I've created a page. Just click here...Chris Toy's Page

Hi there! You guys are awesome! So many of you have already logged on and created wiki pages. Some of you have made the connection between wiki's and you work with students in your classrooms. That's more than I'd hoped for at this point. I'm off to see what else you've been up to while I slept!

I tried to create a page but couldn't. My name is Kathy Hoad and I'm teaching 3rd grade. Looking forward to Monday and Tuesday.

This has been fun as well as productive. I especially enjoyed the time to play around and explore, as it seems I never have the time to do so.

3-2-1 model is an open-ended task, and you can assess each student's grasp of the content in a non-threatening way.
It's important to remember that formative assessment is the assessment of my own teaching as well as of the students' understanding of the material taught.
Differentiated homework is something I need to think of.
